Junior Rugby on the Coast
Rugby on the West Coast starts with our juniors, and we’re proud to support the next generation of players coming through.
From first passes to first tries, junior rugby is all about having fun, learning the game and being part of a team. Whether your child is brand new to rugby or already loves the sport, there’s a place for them at one of our local clubs.
With supportive coaches, strong club culture and a focus on skills, teamwork and enjoyment, junior rugby is the perfect way to build confidence, stay active and make lifelong mates.
Where Rugby Begins.
Growing Our Future Stars
Rugby isn’t just something we play on the West Coast. It’s part of who we are and where we come from. Since 1890, the game has brought our communities together through teamwork, pride and plenty of muddy boots.
Today, junior rugby is a big part of that story. With active in-school programs and six proud clubs: South Westland, Wests, Kiwi, Marist, Blaketown and Grey Valley. Each club supports our youngest players as they learn, grow and enjoy everything rugby has to offer.
Whether your child is picking up a ball for the first time or dreaming of playing for the Coast one day, there’s a place for them to get involved, have fun and be part of something special.
